Anyone can enlighten me who is responsible for leaking. Does the 9th floor has to pay for the 8th floor, if their pipe leak down. I heard last time the rule is for both parties to share cost, now upper floor needs to pay for the lower floor, is this true?

the last time upper floor neighbour leaks, we contacted HDB, they repaired but my neighbour has to pay but was subsided rate. i think if it's condo then it depends on the cause of problem and the arrangement. can get the maintance to check if the leak is due to the renovation works of your neighbour or it could even be the main contractor problem then why should you be paying for it.

happylalapo, i agree with cookies. for condo, i believe they have a maintence officer, it's better you check with them as the way things are handled between private properties and HDB is different.
