just get some contracters from my happyhouse and ask them to go down to the site and quote u a price, it will minimum cost u around 5k to repair the ceiling, if scalfolding is required

Oh my ! This speaks to directly to my problem now !

I just gotten this office at alexandra area and on the top floor. Whenever it rains(which is quite frequently), the ceiling leaks! I almost contemplated to place a fish tank around that area where it leaks. :D

And the contractor told me that they can only come and fix it when it does not rains. Great ! This is rainy season, tell me which day does not rain ? Just want to verify if what they said was right? Any advice from anyone?

yo jas...

I believe yr contractor has his pt. The rain water may just wash away / dissolves any fillings. repairing in the rain is dangerous for his men too.

I used to live in an old building that leaks everywhere... the problem is the leaks dun come directly from a hole on top of the roof... sometime it may be hidden somewhere else but the water just flowed past my ceiling and seeped in! I hv a hell of time trying to fix the prob! in the end my contractor said they couldn't do anything unless I want to fix the whole building! So my advise is dun rent or buy house tat are too old or else prepare to pay for maintenance.

My real estate friend, Alison, always cry when it rains. Many of the houses she rented out begins to leak not only did the roof leaks there are power failure and the autogate also mal-function.

Rain is scary for agents.
