my neighbour sublet his flat to a malaysia couple for 1 year and it's time for renewal. the couple wants to renew another year. do they need to go thru an agent to prepare the contract or they can settle among themselves? what is the right procedure?
If your neighbour is confident of the whole procedure, than they can definitely DIY. they can probably duplicate the contract from the existing one and also the application to sublet the flat. Else if they are not sure how and want to get an agent to do it, the commission should be 0.5 mths for renewal, no matter if you sublet 1 year or 2 years.
