how to get additional home loan from HDB?

i'm self-employed and my hubby-to-be is a salaried worker earning about $4k/month. our combine income about $7k/month. we recently want to get a resale HDB flat that cost us about $380k. we need a loan of $230k but HDB only approved $150k. the reason they gave me was bacause they can only give me loan based on my hubby's salary. now how? we paid the owner $5K deposit but now the loan is not enough. if i try bank, the interest rate is high but will they also like HDB only based on my hubby's salary?

Banks will consider self-employed income as long as the self-employed has a track record of 2 years. If you started your business less than 2 years, then it's not possible for your income to be taken into consideration. By the way, bank's interest rates are currently lower than HDB's.
