My agent charges 2% , I was told this is the standard, is that right?
I'm not aware there's such a "standard". It's all negotiable :rolleyes:
isn't standard 1%?? if property hard to sell, 2% is ok lah.
2% is now the standard according to most agents I spoke to.

I heard
For buyers for HDB transaction, purchaser needs to pay 1% to their agent.
For sellers for HDB transaction, purchaser needs to pay 2% to their agent.
If both are represented by one agent than agent will collect from seller only.
For Private transaction, it is negotiable and sellers pay between 1-2%.
