Use distilled white vinegar. Mix white vinegar (1/2) and water (1/2) together and pour it into a spray bottle. Use it to spray on the leather sofa and leave it to dry. The vinegar smell will go away once its dry, so don't worry about the smell. Repeat the procedure if there's still some musty smell.

    Cheers!

We did have a garage fire a few years back.
Servicemaster used ozone ionizers to remove the smoke smell from house.
Worked 100 percent on getting the smoke smell that got inside the house from this mess. Possibly it will work.

You should better try vacuuming your sofa and after that deodorizing it.

Baking soda is best to remove the bad and stale odors from the leather sofas and couches. For this, take some warm water and a few spoons of baking soda and mix it well and apply on the affected area and leave it for a few minutes. In the last wash it with warm water.

Junio, soda is great for cleaning, but as for the musty smell, you might need an ozonator. But you need to be careful with it. Ozone can be harmful to YOU. Long term exposure to ozone is bad for plastic and rubber. You'd need to put the couch in a small room, turn on the ozonator, close the door, seal the bottom of the door with a towel and leave it for a few hours. Then you'll need to hold your breath and open a window to clear it out.
