place altar at home

recently my in-laws said they want to place a guang yin statue at home. i was quite concern as i do not like the idea of having altars at home with incence burning etc.

however i don't know how to say no to them. just don't want to have conflict with them

you are certainly facing a big problem here.

No matter what you said it is going to be conflict. This kind of thing better for your hubby to do the talking. That is provided he has the same thinking as you.

If you are afraid of incense burning there is the electric type, that is of course provided you do not mind.
