Default Minimum Income to Apply for Home Loan

I understand the minimum income to apply for home loan is $20,000 per annum per person.

If 1 earns less then that there is no way you can get any loan? or can the income be combined to meet the $20,000 requirement.

I don't think singpost or hitachi credit give home loans. They only lend you a sum which is a few times your monthly income. Tried appealing to HDB?

SingPost collaborates with UOB for housing loans. It's actually UOB who is giving out loans though.

That right, a young friend of mine just consulted me on this matter - I also recommend them to go to HDB.

They probably can qualify for HDB loan - as they are first time buyers with really low income - earning about 21600 per annum.
