    Default Downlights for kitchen

Is it too dim to have downlights for kitchen?

i think it's too dark. you can't see your cooking and washing.

for the dinner table is ok.

my brother's kitchen is using downlight and is only 1 and i find it so dark to do anything.

Yes, Hazel is right. Unless you only use it for dining at night to set the mood, in which case you need to fix fluorescent lights as well for other daily usage.

i like my house to be bright. especially bedroom and kitchen. my bed room has 2 lights and i still find that dark especially when i need to put on make-up.

so thinking of putting bulks surrounding my mirror like those you see in backstage

Yeah, no interior designer will advocate downlights for kitchen. It's almost always fluorescent light.
