Default Buying of the Corridor Area

My dad's house has a corridor area which we can be pruchased and converted to your own personal area. i saw alot of his neighbours doing that.

any idea how we can go about doing that? is there some sort of license or something that we need to apply if we want to lay the flooring, adding electrical fixtures and iron gates.

Hmm, this should be a private property right? As long as it's not structural, I don't think you need to get a license. Maybe you can ask a renovation contractor. They should know or at the very least, find out for you.
