Subletting Need Approval

i know that if you are subletting your whole unit, you need to get approval from HDB. how about rooms only?

i don't think so provided it's not overcrowding. but of cos you must check that the person has proper working permits etc.

Any way even rooms would need approval. Why take the risk of keeping the rent and not seeking approval. When you declare your annual income would need to mention about rent.
