Citrus-Floral Centrepiece
It's common practise to gather relatives and friends for an open house during the month of Syawal. If you are having one this weekend, it's a good time to showcase this unique citrus-floral centrepiece along with your cookies, beef rendang and ketupat.
What you need
- Flowers
- 2 Oranges (you can replace with lemon or lime depending on your preferred colour theme)
- Square glass vase
- Hari Raya goodies
Step One
Cut the orange into flat slices. You can slice it into various shapes such as full circles, semi-circles and quarter slices for a more creative effect.
Step Two
Trim the stems of the flowers to desired length.
Step Three
Put the flowers into the vase (with some water).
Step Four
Arrange the orange slices along the sides of the vase.
Step Five
Place Hari Raya goodies around the vase and you're done.
